• The operation resulted in the seizure/confiscation of four
thousand three hundred sixty-four (4,364) pieces of assorted counterfeit Louis
Vuitton products with an estimated amount of Php 30,172,780.00. The
confiscated items were brought to Eco Safe, First Link Container Yard, Manila
Harbour Center, Road 10, Tondo, Manila for safekeeping.

Significant accomplishments under CIDGOPLAN “Ligas”:
1. INTERCEPTION OF A TANKER TRUCK LOADED
WITH 22,000 LITERS OF USED BUNKER OIL
• On June 16, 2010, elements of STG “Maverick” flagged
down and took into custody a tanker truck with Plate No. WKH-429 loaded with
22,000 liters of used bunker oil at the vicinity of Fish PortNavotas, Metro Manila.
Said used bunker oil was from the Power Barge docked at the Fish Portin
Navotas and the tanker truck was later found-out to be owned by one Ester
Atienza of Blue Ocean General Merchandise. However, the truck driver Alex
CUARESMA y Fuentes, 44 years old and truck helper CatalinoMANALO y
Abraham, 36 years old were turned-over to the company secretary and
employees of Blue Ocean General Merchandise.
• The operation stemmed from the complaint and request for
assistance of the Philippine National Bank (PNB) regarding the alleged theft of
used bunker oil from a Power Barge docked at the Fish Port in Navotas allegedly
perpetrated by personnel of East Asia Diesel Power Corporation and its buyers.
Reportedly, the said power barge was under Court Litigation with pending case
at MalabonRTC between PNB and East Asia Diesel Power Corporation wherein
the said property containing 22,000,00 liters of used bunker oil was ordered
freeze by the court.
• The team from STG “Maverick” conducted surveillance and
were able to photograph on the actual theft being perpetrated by some of the
personnel of power barge together with and in conspiracy of the buyers who stole
the used bunker oil contained in the power barge without the knowledge of the
PNP and the court.
• The case was held in abeyance pending further investigation
and the secretary of the Blue Ocean General Merchandise was advised to
present all pertinent documents/government permits to prove the legitimacy of
their business in transporting and selling used bunker oil.
