Significant accomplishments under CIDGOPLAN “Magdalena”:
1. OPERATION AGAINST SIDEWALK VENDOR
SELLING PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIALS IN BUTUAN CITY
• On June 16, 2010, elements of Agusandel Norte CIDT-
13RCIDU of this Group conducted operation at P. Burgos Street, Butuan City,
which resulted in the arrest of MacalandongABUBACAR y Dimaporo, 19 years
old, single, DVD/VCD vendor who was caught in the act of selling pornographic
materials to the public. Confiscated from his possession were the following
pieces of evidence:
- Thirty-nine (39) pieces of pornographic
materials/images;
- Fifty-eight (58) pieces of assorted pornographic
DVDs; and
- Twenty-nine (29) pieces of assorted pornographic
Hentais/Cartoons DVDs.
• A case for violation of Sections 2 (b) and (c) of Article 201 of
the RPC was filed against the arrested suspect before the Provincial
Prosecutor’s Office, Butuan City docketed under IS No. XIII-01-INV-10F-00761.
2. OPERATION AGAINST VENDORS SELLING
PORNOGRAPHIC DVD/VCD IN STA. CRUZ, MANILA
• On June 8, 2010, elements of WMMCIDT-NCRCIDU of this
Group conducted operation along Gonzalo Puyat Street, Sta. Cruz, Manila, which
resulted in the confiscation of fourteen (14) pieces of pornographic DVD movies.
• However, the owner of said items managed to run and
eluded arrest together with other vendors who scampered to different directions
bringing their respective merchandise. Upon inquiry from the bystanders, it was
learned that the owners of the said pornographic items was a certain Dennis LA
TORRE of LRC Compound, CM Recto, Sta. Cruz, Manila.
• A case for violation of Article 201 of the RPC in relation to
PD 960 and 969 (Selling of Pornographic Materials) was filed against LA TORRE
before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office docketed under IS No. 10F-04308.
