Boosterthon Fun Run Continued... April 2009 As a whole, the students averaged 32 laps at the Fun Run (about 2 miles)! And a total of 16,920 laps were run! (almost 1,000 miles)! If we collect 100% of our pledges, Eastvalley’s net profit will be nearly $24,000 …an absolutely amazing and unparalleled feat! The classes who brought in the most pledges were Mrs. Swafford’s, Mrs. Whitaker’s, and Ms. Grierson’s. Mrs. Hathcoat’s class won the “most new pledges on the final night” challenge and Solomon Welfare in Mrs. Savage’s class received the highest individual pledges overall! Be sure to check out his one-of-a-kind, personalized tennis shoes once they arrive! 6 For more information, visit our Eastvalley PTA website: www.eastvalleypta.org
April 2009 Hats off to our incredible students for DREAMING BIG… way beyond our expectations … going above and beyond in contributing much needed funds for their school. A big thank you goes out to our greatest head cheerleader, Ms. Wacker, our assistant cheerleader, Mrs. Morris, all our Coaches (Cobb County’s finest teachers), our fabulous Super Fans (better known as Room Reps) and their dedicated coordinator, and Eastvalley Staff for rising to the occasion and keeping up with the Boosterthon Team in terms of energy and enthusiasm. Thank you to our volunteers on the day of the Fun Run and to the tireless water station workers who kept our runners well-hydrated. A huge thank you also goes to our EASTVALLEY PARENTS for your support of - and tolerance for - the need for fundraising, especially in these difficult economic times. Your generosity is a tangible example of what makes Eastvalley the “little school” with a “Big Heart”! Welcome !!! New Partner in Education Modern Woodmen of America is a fraternal benefit society.
