New era in power supply
Existing as well as new customers, who paid a
visit to the Hitzinger booth at the Inter Airport,
were convinced that with the newly developed
models D POWER and S POWER a new era in the
field of ground power supply of parking aircrafts

ground power supply unit D POWER, not least
because it was achieved by the highly motivated
Hitzinger project team to create a completely new
generation of diesel driven GPUs within only six
months. Basis for this was the thought to subject
the existing diesel-GPUs to a reengineering- and
redesign process. The result is quite a sight, since
the D POWER has quite substantially raised the
standards for diesel driven ground power supply.
‘Thanks to the increased level of efficiency of the
equipment with simultaneous cutting of the allover
costs for operation and increased environmental-
and user friendliness Hitzinger will extend
its market- and technological leadership
even further with D POWER‘, says Mr. Werner
Haas about this innovative precision landing of
Hitzinger. ‘The coming months will be used by
Hitzinger to bring the D POWER to serial production
maturity, since already by end of the first
quarter 2012 this equipment shall conquer the
market’, says Mr. Alexander Khinast, commercial
manager of Hitzinger. Proof for the fact, that for
this adventure the correct strategic actions were
taken, are the numerous advantages of the new
D POWER: the diesel motors do not only comply
to the emission regulations „COM 3A/B“ for Europe
and „Tier 4 interim“ for the USA, but they
also save fuel and are quieter due to the decrease
from 1.846 to 1.500 rpm. More than that, the
D POWER is lighter and more corrosion proof than
the predecessor model, since the main material
for base frame and attachment pieces is now
