not neglected: In case a HTI employee for example
needs a computer he may choose from six
different, pre-configured models. Since all six
models come from the same manufacturer, still
a uniform basis in the computer world of HTI is
safeguarded.
It is also the target for the IT projects to unify
critical server systems like SAP and email to one
valid level. The process of the group-wide implementation
of the ERP system SAP was a major
step. ‘With this business software we can optimally
control all processes of the company, like
sales, logistics, production, inventory,
controlling and accounting’

step in the group-wide implementation
process of SAP was
made by the Upper Austrian locations
St. Marien and Linz. Both
locations successfully started on

SAP in the first quarter 2010, with
them being the basis for all
further SAP implementations. At the beginning
of this year also our location in Korneuburg started
with SAP, in the second and third quarter also
the locations Fohnsdorf, Neudörfl and Slovakia
went live. Currently in project phase are the units
in Salzgitter (Germany), Micheldorf and Kapfenberg,
who will introduce SAP in the year 2012.
All employees, which were part of the successful
SAP implementation know about the additional
strains and sacrifices during this phase. Our
Group-IT-manager Johann Ebner wants to use
this opportunity to thank all project managers,
key-users and users for their constructive cooperation
and their relentless dedication, since ‘in all
these projects I have met employees and people
who have creatively supported and implemented
the changes in the system’ says Mr. Ebner.

also the email service of the whole company will
be consolidated on a Telekom Austria server. The
beginning was made recently by our location in
Kapfenberg, until the end of the first quarter 2012
also this project shall be finished throughout the
Group. Both the SAP operation- as well as the
new email service foresees a 24x7 service (24
hours a day, 7 days a week) through Telekom
Austria. ‘For us it was important that we receive
everything from one hand in first-class quality.
Therefore we decided to go for Telekom Austria
as IT partner’, says Johann Ebner. ‘Both the relocation
of our SAP basis operation to the Telekom
Austria data center as well as the relocation
of the email services to a Telekom Austria
server worked without any hiccups.
