LUNCHEON<br />

The Shamrock Christmas Fund is a non-profit organization<br />
provid<strong>in</strong>g Christmas Food Hampers to needy families. Come a<br />
little early and socialize! The lunch is delicious and it’s a great<br />
way to meet new people.<br />
BLOOD DONOR CHALLENGE<br />
Canadian Blood Services thanks you for support<strong>in</strong>g the Sirens<br />
for Life, <strong>Calgary</strong> vs. Edmonton 4th annual blood donor challenge.<br />
2,916 donations were made on behalf of <strong>Calgary</strong> and<br />
2,983 were made from Edmonton, a slight difference of 67<br />
units. One blood donation can help to improve or save as<br />
many as three lives. This challenge may have enabled 17,200<br />
patients to receive blood and blood products for their treatments.<br />
The bragg<strong>in</strong>g rights might have gone to our rivals up<br />
north, but <strong>in</strong> the end it was the patients who won.<br />
ATTENTION MUSICIANS<br />
Do you have a band you want to showcase? Are you look<strong>in</strong>g<br />
to show off your bands talent? Then do we have the event<br />
for you! All proceeds go to the Mighty <strong>Calgary</strong> 70th Beavers,<br />
Scouts and Venturers. This event is <strong>in</strong> support of the Alberta<br />
Centennial 2005. We will provide all the equipment and<br />
advertis<strong>in</strong>g, all you need is yourself and your <strong>in</strong>strument. It is<br />
at the <strong>Ramsay</strong> <strong>Community</strong> Hall on <strong>March</strong> 12, doors open to<br />
the public at 7:00pm. To register contact Lucas at (403) 266-<br />
4217 after 4:00 pm. Registration is only $20.00 per band.<br />

NEWSLETTER<br />
A small team of dedicated volunteers works to create this newsletter<br />
each month, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g Beth Carter, Fred Holliss and Ev<br />
Bell. While we try our best to get it produced and delivered<br />
before the first Tuesday of the month, we have had some<br />
recent problems with our delivery volunteers on certa<strong>in</strong> routes.<br />
If you have not received your newsletter, don’t forget that we<br />
now have a supply of newsletters <strong>in</strong> the red box <strong>in</strong> front of the<br />
hall.<br />
The <strong>Ramsay</strong> News is funded and produced by the <strong>Ramsay</strong><br />
<strong>Community</strong> <strong>Association</strong> to build a sense of community and to<br />
share <strong>in</strong>formation, notices and historical details about <strong>Ramsay</strong>.<br />
It is delivered free of charge to 1200 households. The newsletter<br />

PORRIDGE FOR PARKINSONS<br />
We had a successful morn<strong>in</strong>g of delicious porridge and great<br />
