INTERNATIONAL RED & WHITE SHOW
The 17th International Red & White Show held October 4th & 5th in Madison,
Wisconsin saw 253 top quality Red & Whites compete. Judge Justin Burdette,
Mercersburg, PA and Assistant Judge Steve Shaw, Williamsburg, PA did a superior
job of placing these fine Red & Whites. Once again, this proved to be the best Red
show ever in quality and style, with great depth in the heifer and young cow classes
and some larger older cow classes.
Grand Champion honors went to Blondin Redman Seisme-Red, the 2010 Grand
Champion, 2012 Senior Champion and winning Aged Cow owned by Milk Source
Genetics, LLC, Kaukauna, WI. The winning 5-Yr-Old and Reserve Senior Champion,
Starmark AD Hotstuff-Red-ET (sired by Advent) was selected as Reserve
Grand Champion. Hotstuff is owned by Nathan Thomas, Michael Heath & Will
Iager, Cable, OH. 119 cows entered the ring with other champion honors going to
Intermediate Champion and 1st place Sr. 3-Yr-Old MDHillbrook Sunburst-Red-
ET (sired by Redliner) owned by Dupasquier, Ehrhardt & Iager, Fulton, MD and
Reserve Intermediate Champion and 1st Fall Yearling in Milk Greenlane Destry
Laurel-Red-ET owned by Westcoast Holsteins, Chilliwack, BC, Canada. What a
tremendous cow show!
With an outstanding 134 Red & Whites in the heifer show, Judge Burdette and
Associate Shaw selected the winning Spring Yearling, Duckett P Lucy-Red (sired
by Picolo) as their Junior Champion in 2012. She is owned by Westcoast Holsteins,
Chilliwack, BC, Canada. Receiving Reserve Junior Champion honors was Whitdale-
D Hvezda Sky-Red, the 1st place Fall Yearling owned by Richard M. Green, Sr.,
Chris & Jen Hill & Chad & Sandy Umbel, Middletown, DE.
In the Junior Show, the winning 5-Yr-Old (3rd Open) Ms Del-Hollow Javent-Red-
ET (sired by Advent) owned by Kyle R. Natzke & Kyle Demmer of Fond du Lac, WI
received Grand Champion honors. Milgene Advn Jezabel-Red-ET (sired by Advent),
the 1st place 4-Yr-Old (5th Open) owned by Brett Hildebrandt of Hustisford, WI

The 2012 World Dairy Expo saw 71,788 attendees from 95 countries (nearly 3,000
international visitors) and a record-breaking 863 commercial exhibitors from 28
countries, 43 states and 6 provinces. The Dairy Cattle Show attracted nearly 2,400
animals from 41 states and 8 provinces. What an amazing show!
