Peugeot keeps getting closer and closer
to our owners… no matter where they
live. Big investment in the dealer network
in 2007 ensured that by year-end, there were
32 dealerships in our network.
In 2007, investment of R30 million led to the
development of new dealerships in Polokwane,
Vereeniging, Hatfield, Lenasia, Richards Bay
and Welkom.
The pace of development continues in 2008.
A major new dealership will open in Germiston
before mid-year while building work recently
started on dealerships in Tokai and Rustenburg.
Cape coverage will be further enhanced by the
opening of a Paarl satellite dealership.
PMSA franchise manager Anthony Olivier
noted: “We are demonstrating our long-term
commitment to South Africa through strategic
investment in the network.
“We have now covered almost all of the main
population centres. This does not mean the
effort will tail off in 2008. We are committed to
continual enhancement in support of our owners.
The emphasis may switch, but nothing changes
that strategic commitment.”
Increasingly, PMSA will look to complement the
existing network through satellite dealerships

• Peugeot Lenasia: Corner Flamingo Street and
Nirvana Drive
that are ‘under the wing’ of major metropolitan
operations, but provide a local access point for
owners in the wider area.
The plan for the Paarl satellite is a demonstration
of this process at work.
In addition, PMSA will be looking to identify wellresourced
workshops known for quality service
in some outlying areas or in urban centres with
relatively small populations.
The intention is to form joint-ventures with
quality workshops and develop a network of
approved workshops in areas outside the ‘range’
of PMSA’s established dealers.
A JV on this model is currently being negotiated
to improve the parts, service and breakdown
coverage of the Grahamstown area.
Anthony Olivier added: “In a relatively short time,

network that gives us broad coverage and offers
our owners access to modern facilities that reflect
Peugeot brand values.
“Our owners expect high standards of
professionalism, so we remain highly selective.
The strategy of complementing our core network
with satellite operations and JVs is designed
to deliver the best of both worlds – quality
and quantity.”
