List of Selected Information Literacy Resources Available in the Bosnian (Bosanski) Language PREPARED BY: Professor Senada Dizdar Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina Informacijska pismenost NOTE: Although the concept of information literacy in Bosnia-Herzegovina was officially launched in 2008, it is not yet a part of the formal and official development projects and strategies for lifelong learning. However, the concept of information literacy is slowly becoming an important subject by certain key university faculties (e.g. Faculty of Philosophy, University of West Mostar and the Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies at the University of Sarajevo). However, it is not yet an integral part of the regular curriculum, but that is the goal and intention of the University of Sarajevo. The list of IL resources which we provide here is a partial list of just some of the currently available papers and websites on information literacy available and accessible in our language. In the future, we hope that this list will become more complete with fuller and more detailed information, because we expect additional data not only from the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but papers which are written in Croatian and Serbian as well. We appreciate very much the opportunity this project is providing us because, now, this small group of IL enthusiasts who are currently operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina to spread the significance and importance of information literacy, can become more visible and hopefully will be perceived to possess more credibility and authenticity in its efforts.
