INDIGO 3000 – DESCRIPTION
Indigo 3000 is a two-seated roadster. Classic, but still modern in design and choice of materials. Furthermore built
according to the latest safety thinking. Technically advanced and based upon well proven components with service
accessible in workshops all over the world - at reasonable cost. A potent sports car and at the same time a
comfortable car for long drives with ample room for luggage. A car that can be built entirely according to your
wishes, thanks to availability of an unusual number of options!
Built by enthusiasts. For enthusiasts.
We who have created the Indigo 3000 have lived with cars since our legs were long enough to reach the pedals. We
have developed and built cars. We have driven and raced cars. We have had a dream during all our years in the car
industry and on the race track. Our dream was to build a car that combines the enjoyment of driving a sports car with
the contemporary demands for comfort, safety and environmental care. We wanted to build an affordable car you
can personalise with your dreams in mind.
The dream has come true!
Indigo 3000 is a two-seated roadster. Classic, but still modern in design and choice of materials. Furthermore built
Nothing beats the song from an in-line six!
The Indigo 300 has a very modern, in-line 6-cylinder, 3 litre engine from Volvo. We selected it because the character
and behaviour of such an engine is unbeatable. The response is immediate at low rpms. At less than 200 rpms it
develops nearly full torque. It is soft and cultivated without sacrificing temprament thanks to among other things,
four valves per cylinder. And furthermore it has lovely song! The manual transmission, which is synchronised in a new
way, gives quick and exact response with every gear change.
Suspension in composite material both front and rear.
The Indigo 3000 is well balanced on the road. It is easy and comfortable to drive for long distances, but also inspiring
to drive in a sporty way. How is that possible? Here is the explanation: The rear suspension comes from Volvo. It is of
an advanced Multi-Link-type, that gives constant track in all situations, the first prerequisite for good behaviour on
the road. It is sprung by a transverse leaf spring made of a very special composite material. The rear end therefore
has a low unsprung weight and is also very compact, which saves space. The front end is our own unique design with
double wish-bones in aluminium, transverse composite leaf spring and centrally located shock absorbers. The
transverse springs give the desired roll stiffness which make separate antiroll bars obsolete. Half the weight sits over
each axle. /Jösse Car press release
