PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Veneto, with more than 10 million arrivals in first place among the Italian regions,
ahead of very substantial tourist regions such as Lazio and Tuscany. This region has one
of the historical and artistic heritage of the most important in Italy (as evidenced by the
numerous cultural itineraries in the Veneto region) and is able to offer a highly integrated
tourist product itself as it includes the districts of the sea, the mountains, the lake , cities of
art, baths, parks and inland. The Venetian Villas, spread throughout the country, representing
an immense cultural and artistic heritage that is well suited to be placed inside cultural
itineraries in Veneto. Investing in Culture, promote conservation action and enhancement
of historic villas of the Veneto, in order to increase and improve public enjoyment by residents
and tourists, is increasingly strategic for the growth of our country. The configuration
and the joint and the success of the project actions depend, therefore, on the capacity of
integration of the villas in the production system, in practice their ability to make a system.
The Venetian Villas constitute a system whose management and enhancement necessarily
pass through two lines of action: the use of technologies and sustainable solutions,
compatible with the maintenance of good material and with the environment, the multifunctionality
and marketing strategies as to increase the value and visibility.
In recent years, cultural routes have shown a great potential for the creation of small and
medium-sized enterprises, the promotion of an image rich European history. Currently,
the European Cultural Routes 26 include transnational routes selected and evaluated by
the Council of Europe, whose role is to make sure that the paths meet certain criteria. The
routes connecting towns, villages and rural communities across the continent.
A study by the European Community in 2010 has demonstrated the importance of cultural
routes in the promotion of sustainable tourism and quality across Europe.
The study on the impact of European Cultural Routes on innovation, competitiveness and
aggregation of small and medium-sized enterprises, has analyzed the extent to which cultural
itineraries can bring added value and benefits to small and medium-sized enterprises.
Strong partnerships between the different agencies and various stakeholders contribute
to create a strategy for substantial involvement of small and medium-sized enterprises in
the cultural routes.
Treviso 2020 is a project of urban innovation, technology, culture and society, which in its
objectives and topics you connect to European equities in terms of Smart Cities. The area
under consideration, the neighborhood and the area formerly Fiera De Longhi, was chosen
because it was the fulcrum of the economy of Treviso, due to its strategic location and the
need to be redeveloped.
We have identified two different cultural paths: the path of the villas and the location of
industrial architecture. The path of the industrial architecture and historic mansions of
Treviso complement each other giving the opportunity to the user to choose at any time
whether to follow one or the other path. Is shown in the lines below a list of goods deemed
to be relevant and made the system between them. All the design choices presented in
this table are intended to better enjoyment of the land. Road of the Villas along the River
Sile in the Fiera area, there is a connector with the current Route Architecture present
in the western part of Treviso. The tour aims to connect the villas in the area Fiera of
Treviso, which continues along the axis of Felissent Avenue towards the north of Treviso,
suggesting a diversification of tourist offer than the current naturalistic. Taking advantage
of the strategic location of Villa Tiepolo aims are to exploit the wide avenue prospective
villa which is dated about 3 km long, which in its present state is not used and valued. The
project aims to create a large pedestrian avenue that keeps the green features that will be
implemented and enhanced. At the end of the route continues along the path until you
reach Via Callalta and then Via Storga leading to Mill Mandelli. This point will continue with
the route of Ville or the route of industrial Architecture. This road aims to highlight the important
industrial archeology present along the Sile in the area considered. It then focuses
on places of historical importance as the port of Silea, power plant , the mill Mandelli , the
mill ex Purina , the port of Fiera to arrive to area ex De Longhi. This area was the subject
of redevelopment of the industrial hub of the city of Treviso. Now being decommissioned
offers a new potential. Because of its strategic location close to major communication route
as the railway line Treviso - Oderzo and its sample space lends itself to be used as a new
technology center. The space devoted to the technology center will be partially allocated
between the residential part and innovation pole. The residential part will be characterized
by sustainability in particular way by using biogas heating, lighting led, by the use of solar
panels… The innovation center will be inside also a business incubator that will be used to
develop projects, it will also become a point of with regard to the city of Treviso smart with
the continued study and monitoring of innovative work aimed at the city. It will also host
inside exhibitions and events on issues of new technologies.
