Sealed tenders on item rate/percentage basis on the prescribed form available
from the office of the undersigned on payment of Rs. 500/- each are invited from the
approved contractor of Chandigarh Administration, Engineering Department (Civil
wing). The tenders shall be issued on 30.08.06 at 4.30 P.M. and shall be received on
31.08.06 at 3.30 P.M. and opened on the same date in the presence of the tenderers or
their authorized representatives who would like to be present.

1. Tenders shall be accompanied by the earnest money in the shape of deposit at call in favour of
Executive Engineer, C.P. Divn. No. I, Chandigarh (By designation) on any Schedule Bank of
Chandigarh.
2. Conditional tenders without earnest money will be rejected without assigning any reason.
3. The terms and conditions of DNIT can be seen in the office of the undersigned situated in
Additional Deluxe Building, Sector 9-D, Chandigarh, on any working day between 9 A.M. to 5
P.M.
4. Sale of tender forms will be closed at 4.30 P.M. one day earlier to the date of opening of the
tenders.
5. The undersigned reserves the right to reject any or all the tender without assigning any reason.
6. In case the date of opening of tenders happens/declared to be holiday the tender shall be
received and opened on the next working day.

4.30 P.M. and shall be received on 04.09.2006 upto 3.30 P.M. and opened on the same
date in the presence of the tenderers or their authorized representatives who would like to

CONDITIONS:-
1. The work being of specialized nature the tender form shall only be issued to those enlisted
contractor for the furniture items/reputed manufacturers/suppliers who fulfill the following
criteria.
i) Average financial turnover during the last three years ending 31.3.2006 should be at least 30% of
the estimated cost.
ii) Experience of having successfully completed similar works during last 7 years ending 31.3.2006
should be either of the following.
a) Three similar completed works costing not less than amount equal to 40% of the
estimated cost.
or
b) Two similar completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of the
estimated cost.
or
c) One similar completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of the
estimated cost.
iii) Similar works means manufacturing & supplying of furniture items such as Executive chairs,
Computer Table, Office table, Steel cushioned, Student chair, Computer chair without arm,
Office chair, Office steel almirah (big & small) Library Table, Display Board, Executive table
iv)
etc.
The cost of works executed/financial turn over shall be updated @ 5% per annum
compoundable.
2. Tenders shall be accompanied by the earnest money in the shape of deposit at call in favour of
Executive Engineer, C.P. Divn. No. I, Chandigarh (By designation) on any Schedule Bank of
Chandigarh.
3. Conditional tenders and tenders without earnest money will be rejected without assigning any
reason.
