Section 5. Composition – The Municipal Council For the Protection of Children shall be composed of the following: Chairman: Municipal Mayor Co-Chairman: MSWDO Members: SB Committee Chairman On Health & Social Services ABC President Municipal Budget Officer Local Civil Registrar Municipal Information Officer Municipal Health Officer Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Municipal Treasurer Day Care Worker Federation President Barangay Health Worker Federation President POPCOM Religious Sector Education Sector MLGOO Chief of Police SK Federation President Senior Citizen Municipal Federation President Women Sector Municipal Federation President Child Development Worker Municipal Federation President From among the above members shall be elected a Vice Chairman who shall preside over the Council in the absence of a Chairman and the Co-chairman. Meetings - The Council shall meet separately at least once a month or whenever necessary at the call of the Chairman Section 8. Barangay Council for the Protection of Children – There shall also be created the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) at each and every barangay in the Municipality of Concepcion which shall be composed of the following to wit: a. The Punong Barangay as Chairman b. All Barangay Kagawad including the Chairman of the Sangguniang Kabataan c. A representative of the PTA of the elementary, secondary, and tertiary schools operating in the barangay, provided that such representative is the head of such schools; d. The Chief of the Barangay Tanod e. The Day Care Worker f. The Barangay Health Worker g. The Barangay Nutrition Scholar h. The Midwife assigned in the barangay i. Representative of the Ngo’s/PO’s involved in the implementation of program for the welfare and protection of children. j. A Representative of Religious Group k. Barangay Service Point Officer (BSPO) l. Child Development Worker From among the above enumerated members shall be selected a Vice-Chairman who shall preside over the meetings of the BCPC in the absence of the Chairman.
