5 – Special requirements for TUV-approved applications<br />
ambient temperature for the cabinet. Depending on the internal dissipation in<br />
the cabinet and the ventilation, a temperature difference of 25°C (77°F) is<br />
allowed, which results in a maximum ambient temperature of 45°C (113°F).<br />
To minimize the temperature difference, forced ventilation with one or more<br />
fans may be required. By using the temperature pre-alarm setpoints, an alarm<br />
can be given if the internal temperature is too high.<br />
20. The storage conditions of the <strong>Safety</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> hardware modules shall not<br />
exceed the following ranges:<br />
Storage temperature: –40 to +85°C (–40 to 185°F).<br />
21. If modifications have been made to the application program in the<br />
SM Controller or the visualization<br />
22. Most modifications made to the application programs require the application<br />
program to be loaded into the SM Controller. Some modifications, such as<br />
renaming tag numbers, can be <strong>com</strong>pleted without loading.<br />
It is mandatory that, after verification and approval of any type of application<br />
modification, proper configuration management is applied to make sure that<br />
all that all stations and backup systems that may have an instance of this<br />
application program get updated to the modified version.<br />
