ambient temperature for the cabinet. Depending on the internal dissipation in
the cabinet and the ventilation, a temperature difference of 25°C (77°F) is
allowed, which results in a maximum ambient temperature of 45°C (113°F).
To minimize the temperature difference, forced ventilation with one or more
fans may be required. By using the temperature pre-alarm setpoints, an alarm
can be given if the internal temperature is too high.
20. The storage conditions of the Safety Manager hardware modules shall not
exceed the following ranges:
Storage temperature: –40 to +85°C (–40 to 185°F).
21. If modifications have been made to the application program in the
SM Controller or the visualization
22. Most modifications made to the application programs require the application
program to be loaded into the SM Controller. Some modifications, such as
renaming tag numbers, can be completed without loading.
It is mandatory that, after verification and approval of any type of application
modification, proper configuration management is applied to make sure that
all that all stations and backup systems that may have an instance of this
application program get updated to the modified version.
