The input <strong>com</strong>pare error detection algorithm puts the following demands on the<br />

dynamic nature of the analog process inputs:<br />

1. For inputs allocated on a redundant module (type SAI-0410 or SAI-1620m),<br />

the slope steepness must be less than 125 mA/s.<br />

2. For inputs allocated on a non-redundant module (type SAI-1620m), the slope<br />

steepness must be less than 20 mA/s<br />

Caution<br />

Analog input <strong>com</strong>pare errors may, for example, occur when calibrating smart transmitters<br />

using hand-held terminals. Refer to the Troubleshooting and Maintenance Guide for<br />

details on calibrating smart transmitters that are connected to <strong>Safety</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> analog<br />

inputs.<br />
