Design<br />
<strong>Polytron</strong> <strong>3000</strong> is designed for connection to the <strong>Dräger</strong> <strong>Polytron</strong>, Regard,<br />
QuadGard or Unigard central un<strong>it</strong>s.<br />
The <strong>Polytron</strong> <strong>3000</strong> transm<strong>it</strong>ter may also be connected to other central un<strong>it</strong>s if the following<br />
cond<strong>it</strong>ions are met:<br />
— Industrial standard 4 to 20 mA input signal<br />
— Operating voltage at the transm<strong>it</strong>ter 12 to 30 V DC.<br />
On delivery, <strong>Polytron</strong> <strong>3000</strong> is configured for the measuring range and gas to be<br />
measured. This information can be found on a sticker below the service port and on<br />
the back of the measuring un<strong>it</strong>. The Order No. of the sensor to be used is also specified<br />
there.<br />
Two different versions of the <strong>Polytron</strong> <strong>3000</strong> transm<strong>it</strong>ter are available:<br />
<strong>Polytron</strong> <strong>3000</strong> transm<strong>it</strong>ter w<strong>it</strong>h display<br />
This version is intended for installations requiring local indication of the measured<br />
value.<br />
The transm<strong>it</strong>ter is calibrated w<strong>it</strong>h the aid of two potentiometers and the display.<br />
<strong>Polytron</strong> <strong>3000</strong> transm<strong>it</strong>ter w<strong>it</strong>hout display<br />
This version is intended for installations in which local indication of the measured<br />
value is not required.<br />
A dig<strong>it</strong>al voltmeter is required for calibration.<br />
