USB Memory Player<br />

(SMF/Audio File Player)<br />

Playlist: Playlist is a function that lets you create a list of songs in a<br />

specified order, and play them back consecutively on the GW-8.<br />

You can use the included “Playlist Editor” to create a playlist on<br />

your computer.<br />

Songlist: The list of songs specified in the playlist is called a<br />

Songlist.<br />

USB Memory Player Screens<br />

Main Screen<br />

When you connect USB memory to the GW-8 and press [USB<br />

MEMORY PLAYER], the Main screen will appear as follows.<br />

Creating a playlist<br />

Start up Playlist Editor and create a playlist.<br />

* For details on creating a playlist, refer to<br />

“PlaylistEditor<strong>Manual</strong>E.pdf,” which is installed together<br />

with “Playlist Editor.”<br />

• Use the included “Playlist Editor” to create playlists.<br />

You cannot create playlists on GW-8 itself.<br />

• You can play back individual songs even without<br />

creating a playlist. To do this, place the SMF or audio<br />

files in the root directory of your USB memory.<br />

• Only audio files whose sampling frequency is 44.1<br />

kHz can be played.<br />

• The GW-8 can handle up to a maximum of 999 songs<br />

and playlists. (The Playlist Editor can handle up to 999<br />

playlists.)<br />

1. PLAYLIST icon: Indicates the PLAYLIST SELECT screen.<br />

2. SONG icon: Indicates the SONG SELECT screen.<br />

3. The number and name of the currently selected Song<br />

4. The group, number, and name of the currently selected<br />

5. The number and name of the Tone selected for the Lower Part<br />

6. The number and name of the Tone selected for the Upper Part<br />

7. The measure number and tempo or time of the Song<br />

PLAYLIST SELECT Screen<br />

In the Main screen, select the PLAYLIST icon and press [ENTER]<br />

to access the PLAYLIST SELECT screen.<br />

Playing Back SMF/Audio Files<br />

You can play back SMF files or audio files saved in USB memory.<br />

1. PLAYLIST list<br />

In the list, choose playlist and press [ ]; the cursor will<br />

move to the icon in the right side of the screen. Select an<br />

icon and press [ENTER] to perform the following operations.<br />

Playlists that show a at the left of the name don’t allow you<br />

to edit the playlist settings or the settings of the songs in the<br />

playlist.<br />

2. P INFO icon: Displays information for the currently selected<br />

playlist.<br />
