Keyboard Mode Functions<br />

Adding Harmony to the Upper<br />

Tone ([MELODY INTELLIGENCE])<br />

While a Music Style is playing (p. 25), the matching harmony<br />

is automatically added to the notes you are playing in the<br />

Upper Part. This function is called “Melody Intelligence.”<br />

Those automatic harmonies are based on the chords you play<br />

in the lower section.<br />

The Melody Intelligence function will be on when you turn<br />

[MELODY INTELLIGENCE] on (button lit).<br />

Selecting the type of harmony<br />

Using the Metronome<br />

It’s convenient to use the metronome when you’re practicing a<br />

new song.<br />

1. Press [MENU].<br />

2. Use [ ] [ ] to select “System” then press [ENTER].<br />

3. Use [ ] [ ] to select “METRONOME” page, and use<br />

[ ] [ ] to select a parameter.<br />

4. Turn the VALUE dial to select the value.<br />

1. Press [MELODY INTELLIGENCE] so the button is lit.<br />

When you play something in the Upper Part, harmony is<br />

added.<br />

2. Press and hold [MELODY INTELLIGENCE], and turn the<br />

VALUE dial to select the Melody Intelligence type.<br />

3. Press [EXIT] to return to the Main screen.<br />

4. To turn the Melody Intelligence off, press [MELODY<br />

INTELLIGENCE] so its light goes out.<br />

Adjusts the volume of the<br />

metronome. The metronome<br />

will be quiet at “Low” and<br />

loud at “High.”<br />

5. When you’ve finished making settings, press [EXIT].<br />
