The principles of ecologically sustainable development need to be considered under Section 2A of the NPW<br />

Act. Inter-generational equity is part of these principles, which allows future generations to access the<br />

cultural and environmental diversity of the present generation.<br />

Inter-generational equity has been considered as part of the assessment of significance. State significant<br />

Aboriginal sites should be considered for blanket protection for future generations, as these sites have been<br />

assessed as having highest significance within NSW.<br />
