Microbiology and Immunology:<br />
The Microbiology and Immunology course introduces<br />
students to a broad range of fundamental concepts in<br />
microbiology and the understanding of the immune system.<br />
Emphasis is placed on the characterization of various types<br />
of invaders and the immune response generated by their<br />
presence in the human body. This course is designed<br />
specifically for the Nursing Program.<br />

Anatomy and Physiology I<br />
Anatomy and Physiology I introduces students to a broad<br />
range of fundamental concepts in human biology.<br />
Emphasis is placed on the integration of knowledge of<br />
the human body and its multiple functions. This course is<br />
designed specifically for the nursing program and<br />
contains a lab component. Students will first be<br />
introduced to the chemical, cellular and tissue levels of<br />
body organization before making a detailed study of the<br />
anatomy and physiology of the inegumentary,<br />
cardiovascular and respiratory systems.<br />

Anatomy and Physiology II<br />
Anatomy and Physiology II introduces students to a<br />
broad range of fundamental concepts in human biology.<br />

designed specifically for the nursing program and<br />
contains a lab component. Students will examine the<br />
anatomy and physiology of the urinary, digestive,<br />
endocrine and nervous systems.<br />

Anatomy and PhysiologyIII<br />
Anatomy and Physiology III introduces students to a<br />
broad range of fundamental concepts in human biology.<br />
Emphasis is placed on the integration of knowledge of<br />
the human body and its multiple functions. This course is<br />
designed specifically for the nursing program. Students<br />
will examine the anatomy and physiology of the<br />
muscular, skeletal and reproductive systems as well as<br />
cell physiology and human genetics.<br />
