Commerce Option (300.BB) - Social Science Program (300.A0)<br />
The Commerce Studies Option is designed to provide<br />
students with the strong social science background<br />
sought by universities, as well as the required<br />
Mathematics courses (Calculus I, Calculus II and Linear<br />
Algebra) that will enable students to enter university<br />
programs in Commerce and Business Administration.<br />

Students are limited to a maximum of six Level I courses<br />
and will complete six Level II courses as shown in the<br />
chart above. Students must successfully complete<br />
introductory Level I courses before advancing to Level II<br />
courses.<br />
Following is a semester break-down of the disciplines<br />
available from which students may choose their Level I<br />
course. Students should consult the course descriptions<br />
to get more information on the content of the Level I<br />

Biology 101-901 (Level I course), may be taken to meet<br />
certain university prerequisites - see course description<br />
for more information. It may be taken as the Level I<br />
course in the first semester.<br />
Please Note: Calculus II is not required for entrance into<br />
the John Molson School of Business at Concordia<br />
University. Therefore, students registered in the<br />
Commerce option have two choices with regards to the<br />
Math courses required. Students may choose to take<br />
Calculus II or Statistics. Students who choose Statistics<br />
201-BLF instead of Calculus II will not normally take 360-<br />
101 Quantitative Methods. However, they must add<br />
another Level II course to their program of studies.<br />
Students who decide to take Statistics 201-BLF after they<br />
have already taken 360-101 Quantitative Methods will be<br />
authorized to substitute Quantitative Methods as one of<br />
their compulsory Complementary courses. In addition,<br />
students must take one additional Level II course.
