Psychology: Introduction to Social Sciences<br />
(Complementary course - not open to Social Science and<br />
Introduction to <strong>College</strong> Studies students)<br />
This course is designed to explore the discipline of<br />
Psychology. Special emphasis will be given to topics that are<br />
relevant to the modern world. The course will focus on the<br />
following main perspectives in psychology; psychodynamic,<br />
behavioural, humanistic, biological and cognitive<br />
approaches. Evaluation will involve regular tests, a research<br />
essay and projects related to the application of psychology.<br />

Psychology: Lifespan Development<br />
Students will be exposed to different theories, concepts<br />
and research findings that will help them better<br />
understand human development. Students will be able to<br />
learn about cognitive, physical, psychosocial changes<br />
taking place in different stages of life starting from birth<br />
until death. This will increase their knowledge of the<br />
needs, personality traits and behavior of clients and their<br />
loved ones, therefore enabling them to work with<br />
different clienteles.<br />
