Free Tutoring<br />
LEARNING CENTER: Need ongoing help in Chemistry, Physics, or<br />
French? We have a tutor available to help you in these subjects, but<br />
you’ll have to sign up soon to secure a spot! Sign up at the Learning<br />
Center before it’s too late! To request a Learning Center tutor, speak<br />
to Doreen Kelly in B309 or send her a Mio.<br />
WRITING CENTER: We can help you with essay planning, written<br />
homework assignments or oral presentations. The Writing Center is<br />
open from Monday to Friday. <strong>You</strong> can drop in for help or reserve an<br />
hour ahead of time. For great results, come prepared and ready to<br />
work. We are in the library, on the second floor, in B307.<br />
THE MATH CENTER: Is open and there are experienced tutors available<br />
every week day. The schedule is posted at the Center, in B303,<br />
upstairs in the library.<br />
THE SCIENCE CENTER: Is open and provides help in science and in<br />
particular in chemistry. It is located in room B302, in the library. The<br />
schedule is posted at the Center.<br />
Drop-In Counselling<br />
Welcome to all new and returning students! If you would like<br />
to meet with a counsellor about any personal issues, career<br />
planning or study skills, come by Student Services to make an<br />
appointment. Meetings with counsellors are confidential and<br />
free. Here are the drop in hours for this week.<br />

HEALTH SERVICES: The College Nurse (Marie Lepinay) will be in to<br />
help all students with a variety of health issues, that effect young<br />
adults. This year the Nurse will also be doing screening for STD’s. The<br />
nurse is on Campus Mon., Wed. and Thur. If her office is closed please<br />
see Celine in Student Services<br />
WANT TO BE ON TV: Champlain College will be filming a few short<br />
PSA’s to help combat cyber-bullying. We are looking for students who<br />
would be interested in being on camera as an actor or an extra.<br />

PARKING LOT SAFETY: With the start os the spring season in the air<br />
we ask all driver’s to be extra careful in the parking lot. We are also<br />
asking you to be very careful when you pull into the drop off area<br />
at the front of the college. Please keep your speed down and to all<br />
students walking in the parking lot, keep your head up. Keep the<br />
parking lot safe!!<br />

COSOM HOCKEY: Student Services is currently looking for student to<br />
participate in an old school outdoor cosom hockey game. Time and<br />
dates are TBA but if you are interested in playing please send your<br />
name by MIO to Scott O’Brien or drop by Student Services for info.<br />
FITNESS ROOM AND GYM: The fitness, gym and weight room is<br />
open to all students, on Mon, Tue, Thur, and Fri from 12:00-1:00<br />
and on Wed from 12:30-2:30. All students are welcome!!<br />
