ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The soil survey of the Langley-Vancouver map area was initially undertaken under the auspices of the Britis h Columbia Ministry of Agriculture and field mapping and data gathering was completed while the author wa s with that Ministry. The Ministry's support and funding is acknowledged . Gratefully acknowledged also are the numerous persons who assisted in the field mapping and those wh o freely supplied guidance and direction during the course of the survey . They are too numerous to list here but ar e individually identified in the several published preliminary reports . Specially acknowledged is Dr. T. Lewis wh o conducted most of the field mapping and data gathering in the Coast Mountains portion of this report . The assistance and information provided by Dr . J .E .
