700m . Note the thick gray, leached horizon under about 8 in . (20 cm)
Cf organic forest litter. The strongly cemented duric layer begins at
about 2.5 ft. (75 cm).

These soils have developed from glacial till similar to that forming the
parent material of Golden Ears soils . They, however, occur in imperfectly
drained areas and this is reflected in the increased depth o f
organic forest litter. in the photo the organic material is about 2 ft. (60
cm) thick. The strongly cemented duric layer begins at about 3 ft. (90
cm) .
