Dear Colleagues,<br />

The <strong>15th</strong> <strong>EFAS</strong> <strong>Instructional</strong> <strong>Course</strong> takes place in Oporto, Portugal on Thursday 18 and Friday 19<br />

<strong>April</strong> <strong>2013</strong>. The <strong>EFAS</strong> <strong>Instructional</strong> <strong>Course</strong> offers a basic instruction in foot and ankle surgery with<br />

a module refined over the past 6 years. Participants are offered a course with lectures combined<br />

with surgical technique videos to confirm a gold standard message of foot and ankle surgery training<br />

across Europe. <strong>EFAS</strong> includes invited Faculty of international and local experts to present this<br />

course module. <strong>EFAS</strong> is very proud to locate the course in Oporto a UNESCO World Heritage Site<br />

and thanks Paulo Amado, Local Host for his contribution. We look forward to a very interesting<br />

and educational experience.<br />

Porto Airport (OPO) - the main airlines that travel to<br />

Porto include Iberia, Lufthansa, Luxair and Ryanair. The<br />

From the Airport: Porto International Airport is 6 miles<br />

from the centre of Porto. A taxi from the airport to the<br />

Metro service: There is a metro station at the airport.<br />

The closest metro stop to the Sheraton<br />

Hotel is Franco Station which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The Metro service runs to<br />

the centre of Porto.<br />

Airport shuttle: This coach service departs from the airport and offers return shuttle transfers<br />

to 2 stops. Boa Vista is the stop closest to the Sheraton Hotel course venue. For timetable please<br />

Delegates requiring a visa for entry to Portugal are strongly advised to make their application in<br />

their home country at least three months before the intended date of travel.<br />
