One of our most important goals at the
YMCA is to enrich the lives of kids in our
community. But when some are left out, it
leaves us all a bit poorer. That’s because
giving kids a safe and nurturing place to
go benefits everyone. By introducing them
to experiences that will help them grow into

Through the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign,
we can provide program support and
financial assistance to families who need it
in our community. Only by working together
can we give more kids the opportunity to
grow strong in spirit, mind and body.

At the YMCA, our vision sums up our purpose:
we build strong kids, strong families,
strong communities.
Our policy is to deliver programs that
meet the needs of our diverse community.
Each YMCA branch serves different
neighborhoods with different populations.
Therefore, no two branches in our association
are exactly alike. Each branch is as unique
as the neighborhood it serves. Your
contribution will provide these branches
much-needed financial and program
assistance to help ensure that everyone,
regardless of financial ability,
can have a place at the YMCA.
This year’s Strong Kids Campaign is launched
with an ambitious goal of raising more than
$700,000.00. We ask that you please
give generously so that more kids and
more families in our community can share
the YMCA experience.

The Power Of One Gift
More than 13,000 financial aid scholarships
were provided to local families through last
year’s Strong Kids Campaign - allowing each
of them to experience the positive effects of
YMCA programs and activities. Our success will
always be measured by the lives we touch.
Because of Your Gift of $10/month
Two children are able to join a
YMCA youth sports league.
Because of Your Gift of $25/month
The entire family is able to grow strong
through a YMCA membership.
Because of Your Gift of $50/month
Two toddlers are able to attend day care.
Because of Your Gift of $100/month
Two children are able to enroll in
YMCA Afterschool for one year.
Because of Your Gift of $250/month
40 kids are able to enjoy a week of camp.

The YMCA of Greater Williamson County
recognizes and appreciates all gifts to
our annual Strong Kids Campaign
regardless of size.
Individuals, businesses and other
organizations that make annual contributions
of $1,000 — $4,999 are recognized as
Chairman’s Round Table Members.
Donors of $5,000 and up are recognized
at the Chairman’s Circle level. Members of
the Chairman’s Round Table and Circle also
receive a gift of appreciation for display in
their home or office as well as a banner of
recognition hung in one our facilities.
Additionally, all donors are listed in the
association’s Annual Report and in a special
thank you advertisement placed in
local area newspapers.
Regardless of the size of your gift, all gifts
enable the YMCA to enrich and expand its
ongoing work with young people and
families throughout Williamson County.

WHY PLEDGE?
By pledging your gift and paying it
throughout the year, you can assist more
children and families. Contributions may
be made by check, Visa or MasterCard.
Final payment on your pledge need not be
made until December 31, and the YMCA’s
Financial Development Office can send you
monthly reminders to fulfill your pledge.

The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is exempt from Federal
Income Tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Contributions to the YMCA of Greater Williamson County are
deductible in the manner and to the extent of the law.

Community Impact
• Five YMCA branch locations in addition to
Licensed Child Care.
• 76 Afterschool sites throughout the county.
• 40 partnerships with other agencies, schools,
businesses and churches.
• 500,000 people served in Williamson
County through a wide variety of programs.
• 25,000 people served through FREE
community outreach events.
• 1,600 families served through an extensive
offering of parent-child programs.
• 16% of YMCA members and program
participants receive financial assistance.
• $660,000 raised during the 2010
Strong Kids Campaign for membership
and program scholarships.
• 750 community volunteers, 660 YMCA staff
members and 130 policy-making volunteers.
