When you sign up for AIA Solitaire Personal Accident you have the fl exibility to include one or both of the following optional benefi ts groups in addition to the basic benefi ts. Optional Lifestyle Maintenance Benefits Coping with lifestyle adjustments This group of benefi ts offers payouts to help with costs associated with disabilities. If, within 90 days from an accident, you were to suffer total or partial disability for a temporary period of time, the plan will pay a weekly income benefi t of up to S$300 per week of continued disability (up to 52 weeks for the same accident) to help cope with lost income. This benefi ts group also includes reimbursement for mobility aids (such as wheelchairs) of up to S$2,000 per accident, and reimbursement of up to S$15,000 per lifetime for the cost of home modifi cations (e.g. widening of doorways, special bathroom adaptations for wheelchair users etc.). Extra help for your dependents when they need it most The Family Support Fund Benefi t will pay an additional lump sum of S$100,000 if a claim has been admitted under the Accidental Death Benefi t or the Accidental Permanent Total Disablement Benefi t. This could help towards the cost of supporting your spouse, your children and/or your parents just when they need it the most. Optional Accidental Hospitalisation Benefits An income while you are hospitalised, and help with emergency transportation This optional benefi ts group offers a daily cash payout of S$250 per day while you are confi ned in hospital (in Singapore or overseas) due to an accident (up to a maximum of 365 days for the same accident) which you can use to offset any additional expenses. If you are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will receive an additional ICU Benefi t of S$250 per day (up to a maximum of 30 days for the same accident). This benefi ts group also includes a Broken Bones Benefi t of up to S$16,000 per lifetime, which could come in handy if you play amateur sports, such as football. Finally, this benefi ts group also includes reimbursement for the cost of ambulance fees of up to S$200 per accident, and emergency medical evacuation and repatriation costs of up to S$50,000 per policy year if you are injured overseas.
