This business directory is now in its sixth year of publication. We thank the Saint Regis Mohawk
Tribe’s Public Information Office and Economic Development Division for their fine efforts in
keeping the directory updated and distributed. It is a collaborative effort between the Saint Regis
Mohawk Tribe and the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne. Our Mohawk community maintains strong
ties of history, culture, language and kinship. We are one community and the Saint Regis Mohawk
Tribe supports traditional Mohawk values, language and culture.
Akwesasne supports, promotes and contributes to local economies by providing employment and
other business opportunities to both Mohawks and our neighbors from surrounding communities.
The private sector has over 300 registered businesses. Tribal government employs about 1,500 in
its programs, services and enterprises.
Nia:wen (thank you) for taking the time to pick up this directory and read our message. We are
sure that you will find the directory very useful during your visit with us. We distribute it annually
throughout the North Country in cooperation with our partners in the St. Lawrence County, Malone
and Massena Chambers of Commerce. Nia:wen for visiting our community and enjoy your time
here!
