2012 <strong>Olympic</strong> <strong>Oval</strong> Short Track Single Distance Series #2<br />
at the <strong>Olympic</strong> <strong>Oval</strong><br />

Program subject to change depending on the size <strong>of</strong> the entry.<br />
The 2012 <strong>Olympic</strong> <strong>Oval</strong> Short Track Single Distance Series will be held in accordance with the current<br />
regulations <strong>of</strong> the International Skating Union (ISU). Participation is open to all skaters who belong to an<br />
ISU Member.<br />
FORMAT<br />
All skaters will race a minimum <strong>of</strong> 2 500m and 2 1000m races.<br />
ENTRY<br />
Every individual participating in the competition must complete the entry form and the waiver form.<br />
ENTRY FEE<br />
Entry Fee – Canadian and International Skaters $25 (includes GST)<br />
LIABILITY<br />
In accordance with Rule 119, paragraph 1, the ISU, Speed Skating Canada, Alberta Speed Skating and<br />
the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Calgary</strong> assume no responsibility for, or liability with respect to, bodily or personal injury<br />
or loss <strong>of</strong> property or damage incurred in connection with the <strong>Olympic</strong> <strong>Oval</strong> Short Track Single Distance<br />
Series. Each Member is solely responsible for providing insurance coverage thereto.<br />
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT<br />
See ISU Special Regulations Short Track Speed Skating Rule 294. Also neck protection must be worn in<br />
Canada.<br />
ENTRY DETAILS<br />
The entry form must be submitted to the organizers by Tuesday, September 18, 2012<br />
Waiver Forms must be submitted to the <strong>Olympic</strong> <strong>Oval</strong> prior to the<br />
start <strong>of</strong> in this event.
TRANSPORTATION<br />
The Organizing Committee will not provide transportation during this event.<br />
ACCOMMODATION<br />
All skaters will be responsible for board and lodging.<br />

Information will be at rink side at 07:00.<br />
TRAINING SESSIONS<br />
There is an opportunity for dryland training and ice Friday afternoon. These sessions are coached by<br />
<strong>Oval</strong> Program coaches and included free <strong>of</strong> charge with registration. The deadline to sign up for these<br />
sessions is the same as the entry deadline. Please contact both Maggie Qi qim@ucalgary.ca and<br />
