Gangsters take a vacation in fourth annual Play in a Day
Even gangsters need a break sometimes!
Volunteers put together this rollicking theatrical fundraiser in
support of the Legal Information Society of Nova Scotia: “The
Godmother Part 7: Gangstas Gone Wild”. They had just 24
hours to learn the script, create the sets and props, make the
costumes and rehearse for the play, staged October 20 at the
Bella Rose Arts Centre in Halifax. Watch legalinfo.org for details

LIANS Risk and Practice Management Conference
The Lawyers’ Insurance Association of Nova
Scotia presented its 4th annual LIANS Risk and Practice
Management Conference on November 23 at the Westin Nova
Scotian in Halifax.
Among the featured speakers were Andria Hill-Lehr (left), a
counsellor in private practice and program counsellor with the
Annapolis Valley Campus of the Nova Scotia Commmunity
College, and Paul Saunders (right), an associate at Stewart
McKelvey and part-time instructor at Dalhousie University and
Mount Saint Vincent University. Sessions covered everything
from wellness and workload management to the art of
negotiation, and using technology to avoid claims.
