CARLSON CONTINUES EXPANSION OF ITS FIRST-CLASS
RADISSON BLU HOTELS IN ASIA PACIFIC
Signing of the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok,
Sukhumvit brings Radisson Blu portfolio to 53 hotels in Asia Pacific
SINGAPORE (May 6, 2011) ─ Carlson, a global hospitality and travel company, today
announced the further expansion of its first-class Radisson Blu portfolio in key gateway cities in Asia
Pacific with the signing of the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok,
Sukhumvit. The 290-room contemporary hotel is ideally located
near Soi 27 on Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok’s prime commercial,
entertainment and shopping district. The hotel is near the Phom
Phong and Asoke Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) Skytrains
and the Sukhumvit Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station.
“This exciting addition of the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel
Bangkok aligns with our plans to expand Radisson Blu as a
vibrant, contemporary and engaging first-class brand in Asia

The hotel is owned by G&P Asset Holdings, a major
property owner in Thailand. The property is under construction and will open in the fourth quarter of
2013.
“The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit is poised to become one of Bangkok’s
leading international first-class hotels that will cater to discerning business and leisure travelers,”
said Rajpal Sachdev, managing director, G&P Asset Holdings.
The hotel will feature 266 guest rooms and 24 suites that have been designed by local
architectural firm Inter Akitek Company Limited, with noted local interior design firm P49 DEESIGN.
Hotel guests will enjoy extensive recreational facilities, including an outdoor
swimming pool, a full-service spa and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Guests will enjoy a
choice of superb dining venues including an all-day dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant,
a rooftop Italian restaurant and wine bar, a pool bar, a café and other facilities such as an
elegant high-ceiling lobby lounge and bar, and a business club lounge.
The hotel’s professional meetings and events facilities will include a grand ballroom,
a multi-purpose function room and six boardrooms. There will be wireless, high-speed

Internet access available throughout the hotel.
The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit is Carlson’s sixth hotel in Thailand.
Hotels in operation include the Radisson Blu Plaza Resort Phuket Panwa Beach, the
Radisson Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit, the Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok and the Park Plaza
Bangkok Soi 18. Currently under development as well is the Radisson Blu Resort Hua Hin.
