D. O. S. System
Introduction
The progress of science in industrialized countries produced a series of
benefits for humanity, but brought with itself a paradox: this same progress
maintained, in a conservative way, the Cartesian Newtonian principle of
science, according to which only experiments/phenomena liable of identical
repetition of results can be considered scientific knowledge, ignoring thus all
knowledge, principally from oriental medicine, which, but for some rare (and
current) exceptions, has with it scientific confirmation, like acupuncture.
Orthodox medicine in Western universities is, still today, organized and
taught according to this view, ignoring all that which present technology is
unable to measure, as, for instance, what is related to “vital energy”.
The studies of Heisenberg, the contemporary physicist who brought to
light the concept of particle-waves and the interactive participation of the
observer in the experiment, enlarging the basic concepts of mechanistic
physics, explained some of the phenomena related to “vital energy”.
All the great therapeutic trends classed as “alternative” – homeopathy,
anthroposophic medicine, ayurvedic medicine, Chinese medicine (these last
two being millenar) – contain this knowledge in their essence.
At present, various other therapeutic practices (do-in, shiatsu, florals,
phytotherapy, reiki, pranatherapy, chiropraxy, acupuncture – this one being
accepted by the universities – among others) work with energetic features.
It is in the universe of mind-body medical science, in the opening of
knowledge from psychosomatic medical science, and at the light of quantum
physics that the D.O.S. TM – in Portuguese, Dispositivo Otimizador de Sistemas,
meaning “System Optimizer Device” – finds its context and application.
The D.O.S. TM system is the result of researches developed in Brazil and
abroad by engineer Dr. Giampiero Cungi, who created during his work devices
