The Nancy Minor Team

When asked what makes an agent exceptional, real
estate veteran Nancy Minor doesn’t hesitate to
answer. The response she gives is as refreshing as it
is genuine. She says, “A good agent is the agent that
takes the time to learn the story of the family or
individual behind the sign in the front yard.” In an
industry that is often about the bottom line, Nancy
measures her success on a completely different
scale. She takes pleasure in the “hugs at the closing
table,” the heartfelt appreciation from clients, and
the difference she is able to make in the community
as a result of the success of her business. This
business philosophy has served the Nancy Minor
Team well for over 20 years. It is as much a part of
the Nancy Minor brand as the memorable caricature
of the perky, blonde agent visible on the team’s
marketing pieces and on the Nancy Minor Team
moving van. The caricature has come to stand for so
much more than exceptional service. It is the
embodiment of a real estate team focused on family,
friends and community.
For The Nancy Minor Team, “community” is not
just a trendy buzz word. It is one of the core
principles of their business. In fact, Nancy’s
marketing style has always been a bit unorthodox.
Rather than simply sending
mailers to a “farm area” she
and the team take the time to
get to know potential clients
through in person events and
web based social networking
sites. The team is a part of the
community rather than simply
treating clients as a source of
new income. Nancy takes the
concept of community so
seriously that having the drive
to be involved in the
community is a prerequisite to
be a member of the team.
From sponsoring events like
the Norcross Art Fest to being
involved in the Special
Olympics and organizing local food, toy and coat
drives—the Nancy Minor Teams takes community
involvement to the next level.
Debbie Mason, UPCCA Chair, commends the team’s
generous nature. “Being a long-time resident of
Peachtree Corners I have seen Nancy’s name on realty
signs all over our community. Although I have never
bought a house from her, I am pleased to say that I
have had the opportunity to work with her and
members of her team many, many times. Her support
at Norcross High School is unprecedented through
various athletic groups as well as the PTSA. Her
support for the United Peachtree Corners Civic
Association (UPCCA) Tour of Homes was incredible.
Her team helped park cars, schedule volunteers and
sell tickets. The proceeds helped our community
install a permanent “monument sign” to welcome all
visitors to our Peachtree Corners Community.”
As a result of their involvement in the community, the
team has often made connections with current, and
more importantly - potential, new clients. “We listed
our home with Nancy Minor after living there for
over a decade,” relate Scott & Katie Lloyd. “Because
Nancy Minor and her team live in our community, we
came to know them as neighbors and through their
involvement in community activities. When it came
time for us to sell our home, we interviewed Nancy
Minor and were immediately impressed by the
responsiveness and professionalism demonstrated by
Nancy and her entire team.”
Nancy puts a great emphasis on the team’s work
ethic. “I never underestimate the value of a team
working together to achieve goals. If everyone is
committed to doing the right thing then the team will
benefit. Our focus is creating a fun environment,
composed of professionals who are dedicated to
providing the highest level of service! Also, the
whole concept of ‘learning and how it impacts the
earning’ is important to us. We constantly seek to
improve ourselves and improve the buying and
selling process for our clients.”
The team is made up of family and friends who are as
dedicated to the success of each client as Nancy is.
Nancy’s husband, Sid is the group’s technology whiz.
His sales background made him the perfect partner.
Becky Paterni, who has been instrumental in the
success of the team, is the office manager. Ron Minor,
Nancy’s brother-in-law added a new dimension to the
team with his expertise in the building process.
Nancy’s daughter-in-law, Rhea Minor, is the Director
of Communications and Finance. Nancy rounds out
the team with four very successful buyer’s agents,
Saundra Wike, Carrie Bodin, Debbie Timm and
Helen Minor, Nancy’s sister-in-law.
The team’s impeccable performance has earned
them several prestigious accolades including being
named as one of the Top 25 RE/MAX Teams in the
state of Georgia and being recognized as one of the
top three teams in sales volume by The Northeast
Atlanta Metro Association Of REALTORS ® —an
association made of up over 5,000 members. Nancy
was also named one of the top 100 agents by
Communities Magazine out of the 27,500 agents
who receive the publication and is in the top 1% of
all REALTORS ® in the country.
The statistics speak for themselves, but as Nancy
has often said – it is the words of her clients that
truly make her feel as if she is making a difference.
Damarre and Karlene Joseph describe The Nancy
Minor Team as “simply the best.” “What we loved
best was the constant follow-up and feedback - a
must for a good seller-realtor relationship. And
secondly, they advertised our home in so many
channels: local publication, numerous websites,
mailings, and a customized web page. Finally -
Nancy has this "home beacon" that allowed home
shoppers to signal us that they've completed the
showing and we can come back to the house. This
was a great benefit especially considering that we
have a young child.”
For Nancy and her team, real estate has always been a
business of the heart. “Never forget why you are in the
business,” says Nancy. “The money is not the number
one focus—the number one focus is satisfying the
buyer or seller. For me it is about being the calm in the
storm and always doing the right thing.”
