CALL TO ORDER
MEETING MINUTES
The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m.
Moved by Tom Ouchi, seconded by Gunther Zieler
THAT the Minutes of the Sister City Committee meeting held on
January 5, 2010, be adoPted.
CARRIED.
NEW BUSINESS
TAVULIA
Liz Williams provided an update on her current work regarding
Tavutlia. She had been in touch with Paul Seguna. Liz requested
that the Sister City Committee work through her with Wiz Bangs.
John Topping stated that the Sister City Committee cannot make
this an official trip until the Mayor of Tavullia has confirmed that he
will receive a delegation of the Sister Ci$ Committee'
John Topping provided an update on his proposed Tavullia itinerary.
He has contacted 3 localtravel agents. The cost to visit both cities
would be approximately $5500. The trip could be 10 to 12 days with
different options. ln order to lower the cost to $3100 the Sister City
Committee would need 44 people to traveltogether to Tavullia. This
would be if we flew into Rome. The travel agents are on hold for
now. John has concerns that the Sister City Committee many not
have enough time to fund raise for the trip in the fall of 2010.
