Currently they are on a private water system
. What will happen to this? Concerned as great water
o Rintoul: Water Sysfem reviewed and noted not to be
disturbed by this development
. Capacity for development will be such that eventually water
sysfem can eventually sign on, if they wish
o Referred to submission and petition submitted
. Feels this development is a 'done deal' and they have not
been heard
o Have provided input, but at no point have they been able to
stop the development

Wildlife and birds use the property as it is
Habitat loss is a concern
. lmportant to note 1483 units proposed, noting 3000 people
for that small area is too many
o Turning rural area in a high density area
Adds a lot of use to local facilities (beaches, parks, etc.)
Buffer is good, but privacy issues are a concern
Drainage issues in the subdivision are currently a concern
Requested to take development very slowly
. Scale back and do a quality project
Start at Eastside of property
o Hate to lose agricultural land behind properties
Upgrades for Okanagan Avenue have not been addressed
lncreased volume a concern
No sidewalks on Okanagan Avenue
Safety a concern
Rintoul: As part of requirement of project Development
Agreement - public sidewalk (cunently in front of The Oaks)
will be continued on south side right to Okanagan Landing
Rd.
Road works and utility extensions will be the responsibility
of the developer along their frontages
Continued works will be done as development occurs
New intersection will cut off his property at Okanagan
Avenue
No walking path on right side of road where The Oaks
sidewalk is
Pavement is very close to edge of ditch - should be looked
into
Storm drain and sewer will run past his house - is that a
first priority?
