attend. ln addition to ihe City hosted open house, staff were also invited by
residents to attend a public mêeting at the Deer Park Restaurant September 28,
2OOg. More than'100 people attenðed this meeting. The main issues presented
through the input process ielated to park locations and facilities, re-designation of
comliercial lands to residential, and re-designation of Lot C, Plan42323 (Morning
Glory property) for multi family development. A summary and response table is
attached along with the input received as Figure 2'
2. As a result of input received from the community, staff reviewed several
components of the 'draft Neighbourhood Plan and support the proposed revisions
for the following reasons:
a) The two public park locations initially proposed required alteration for the
following reasons:
i. The p2 site adjacent to Tronson Road conflicted with a portion of the
septic disposal and was moved further south to accommodate the
private utility function in the area; and
¡i. The property owner where the P1 site was to be located adjacent to
Tavistock Rôad requested the public park facilities be relocated to the
new location south of Crofton Road. As the proposed location and
facilities meet the objectives of the plan, staff have supported the change
in park location proposed by the property owner'
