for collecting information needed for such<br />
assessments (which shall involve the minimum<br />
amount <strong>of</strong> administrative burden required<br />
to ensure reliable results); and<br />
‘‘(iii) the applicable update adjustments<br />
under paragraph (3) are determined<br />
by such assessments.<br />
‘‘(B) DEFINITIONS.—<br />
‘‘(i) ELIGIBLE PROFESSIONAL.—In<br />
this subsection, the term ‘eligible pr<strong>of</strong>essional’<br />
has the meaning given such term in<br />
subsection (k)(3), except that such term<br />
shall not include a pr<strong>of</strong>essional who has a<br />
payment arrangement described in section<br />
1848A(a)(1) in effect.<br />
‘‘(ii) PEER COHORTS; CLINICAL PRAC-<br />
TICE IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES; ELIGIBLE<br />
PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS.—In this<br />
subsection, the terms ‘peer cohort’, ‘clinical<br />
practice improvement activity’, and ‘eligible<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essional organization’ have the meanings<br />
given such terms in subsection (k)(3).<br />
‘‘(C) CONSULTATION WITH ELIGIBLE PRO-<br />
FESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AND OTHER REL-<br />
