Additive Manufacturing Briefings
This one-hour session, offered Tuesday and Wednesday during
lunch, is intended to provide show attendees with an introductory
overview of the additive manufacturing technologies and
companies on the show floor. Information gained will organize
your visit by identifying equipment, companies and processes that
fit your needs and interests. If you’re new to additive technologies
and want to gain a better feel for the major processes and
materials and how they can be applied to your applications, this is
the session for you.
The Additive Manufacturing Briefings are open to all registered
attendees.
3D Imaging Briefings
This one-hour session, offered Tuesday and Wednesday during
lunch, is intended to provide show attendees with an introductory
overview of scanning technologies and companies on the
show floor. Attendees receive a high-level overview of reverse
engineering, analysis and inspection. Attendees walk away with
a basic understanding of 3D imaging technologies and how the
technologies can be used to scan and produce anything from a
small part to a custom medical implant.
The 3D Imaging Briefings are open to all registered attendees.

Medical Manufacturing Innovations (MMI)
Explore the MMI center on the RAPID show floor in Booth 912 to
see unique applications, meet medical manufacturing leaders and
hear more about medical opportunities at the MMI Learning Lab.
Informal presentations from those responsible for the showcased
applications and more will be made at the event and streamed

Introduced at RAPID 2010, the Contemporary Art Gallery provides
artists familiar with design software and additive manufacturing
processes the opportunity to display their work to an appreciative
audience. Other artists had the opportunity to explore this new
medium by having their drawings transformed into actual works
of art using additive manufacturing to make the three dimensional
works for display.
The RAPID Conference offers a 3D Imaging & Scanning session,
which provides the latest information on 3D imaging applications
for inspection, quality, verification, metrology, measurement and
more. The focus of the session held on Tuesday, June 11, is on
using noncontact imaging technology to capture and process
high-resolution 3D spatial geometries. Learn how 3D imaging
technologies are being applied across several industries to achieve
cost-effective and accurate end products! A combination of case
studies and interactive, problem-solving discussions bring together
industry leaders to give you the most up-to-date information.
The Contemporary Art Gallery represents the use of additive
manufacturing in a whole new industry, expanding the horizons
and demand for these technologies. In 2013, the gallery includes
sculpture and jewelry designed by professional artists from
around the world. Make time to visit this display and see how
creative minds have dreamed and created incredible art!
