President MacKinnon will step down from his role<br />
as president <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Saskatchewan as<br />
<strong>of</strong> June 30, 2012, but his legacy will remain.<br />
The success <strong>of</strong> the U <strong>of</strong> S under President MacKinnon was trumped only<br />
by his ambitions for the university, which continue to set our course moving<br />
forward.<br />
With President MacKinnon as our president, the U <strong>of</strong> S has grown in many<br />
ways. We are welcoming more students from more places around the world,<br />
we are physically expanding to accommodate the important research,<br />
learning and discovery taking place on our campus, and we are building<br />
deeper connections with the communities around Saskatchewan and beyond.<br />
We move forward from President MacKinnon’s tenure more proud <strong>of</strong> our<br />
accomplishments, with bigger dreams for the future and confident that we<br />
can achieve anything we aspire towards.<br />
