SMRTNET is a standards based Health Information Exchange in operation for the past 6 years,
capable of working in an electronic or paper based environment for maximum accessibility for
healthcare providers in Oklahoma.
SMRTNET is Oklahoma’s largest Health Information Exchange partnering with organizations and
communities to ensure health care data is where it needs to be when it needs be as a tool for

Value Added Services
Immunization Reporting – This service provides the ability to contribute VXU messages
to OSDH immunization registry requiring PHIN-MS transport method.
Results Distribution – This service provides the ability to push a transaction or clinical
data such as lab results, radiology reports, discharge summaries, transcribed reports,
and CCDs directly into an EMR.
Orders – Transmit Order and scheduling messages from a Foreign EMR system to a
receiving system(i.e. Lab or Radiology)
Provider Notification – Automatically Push a notification message to Community PCP of
record when a patient is admitted or discharged for services.

• Story: A 76 year old female with new onset afib presents to clinic one day post hospitalization, is unaware of medications
prescribed and isn’t sure of diagnosis.

and monitoring started appropriately.
