DECA BUSINESS CLUB TO STATE COMPETITION
Hersey High School’s DECA Business Club
participated at the DECA Regional Competition and
had great success. Recently, the students participated
in State Competition. Hersey High School is
very proud to congratulate its second-ever State
Champions: Carolyn Niersbach and Amanda Mix
who won the Hospitality Services event. Carolyn and
Amanda will represent Hersey at the International
Career Development Conference in Anaheim, CA in
late April. Congratulations to Carolyn, Amanda, and
the rest of the Hersey DECA Business students!

The National Football Foundation (NFF) Chicago Metro Chapter volunteer Board of Directors is pleased
to announce Alex Baratta are one of two recipients
of the Chicago Bears Community Champion Award.
Congratulations! You will receive a college tuition
scholarship of $2,000, which will be paid directly to
the college. Mr. Teonic nominated Alex for this award
and Alex’s accomplishments in the community are very
impressive.
