Congratulations to the following members of

Mat Obstoj MSL Conference Champion

State Qualifier - Placed 29th at
IHSA State Meet
James Hill, Mike Buffa, Sam Kim and
Connor Reynolds 200 Yard Medley Relay
Sectional Champions
State Qualifiers
Finished 30th at the IHSA State Meet
This was the first ever Hersey boys medley
relay to win a Sectional Championship.
Special Olympic Basketball
Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Special
Olympics teams for qualifying to enter the
State Basketball tournament.

Hockey
Hockey in District 214 is not recognized as
a sanctioned sport. Hersey would like to
recognize John Cappuccitti for being chosen
to the 2013 All State Hockey team. The
hockey team is currently ranked in the top 10
in the State. Congratulations to all.
Boys’ Basketball
Congratulations to seniors Michael Fuerst
who was named MSL All Conference and All
Area. Michael was a junior captain, second
leading scorer and rebounder. Michael was
named to the MSL All Conference team and
took more charges (38) in one season than
anyone in the history of Hersey basketball.
Three Point Contest
Congratulations to Michael Sauer for
winning the Three Point Contest in basketball
at the Sectionals and off to the State contest.
Competitive Cheerleading
The cheerleading team competed this year
and placed 5th in MSL Conference and 8th in
IHSA Sectionals.
