THE VERITAS SOCIETY
for Planned Giving
The Dominican Sisters of Springfield have touched the lives of thousands
of students at Marian Catholic High School. Their work has created a lasting
partnership with faculty, parents, alumni, and benefactors to provide a Catholic
education benefitting generations past and those to come. We invite faculty,
parents, and benefactors to consider planned gifts to support the Dominican
teaching mission at Marian Catholic High School.
Planned Giving creates a legacy that will extend your generosity into the future.
This caring act may result in the most lasting gift you ever make. The lives that are
touched at Marian Catholic, and the potential they hold, can be your legacy.
“We, as Catholics, share this
responsibility to promote our faith
for the betterment of all people in
this secular world. I pray that many
fellow alumni will hear the call of
the Holy Spirit to support Catholic
Education in any way they are able."
"My education at Marian Catholic in the ’80s was excellent, but I was an average
teenager and found myself my senior year in a few detentions and even lost all of
my senior privileges,” recalls Anne Marie Korzenko McNew ’83, owner of AMK
Design in Virginia. Reflecting upon her young adult experience at Marian Catholic
prompted Anne Marie to commit an estate gift to the school. “In retrospect, my
education and culture of [Catholic] faith at Marian was a great foundation for all
I've accomplished in my adult life. Although I have no children of my own, in this
Year of Faith in the Catholic Church, I realize how important Catholic education
is for our faith and our young people. We, as Catholics, share this responsibility
to promote our faith for the betterment of all people in this secular world. I pray
that many fellow alumni will hear the call of the Holy Spirit to support Catholic
Education in any way they are able."
An investment in Marian Catholic becomes a long-term asset. Gifts flow directly to
our young people and help form the faith-based, academic foundation that prepares
students for a lifetime. Planned gifts for Marian Catholic can be in the form of
bequests, wills, beneficiary designations, trusts, and annuities. Like Anne Marie, you
may provide an unrestricted gift or direct your gift to a specific area of school life.
A properly planned estate or deferred gift to Marian Catholic High School offers
potential tax and other financial benefits for your estate and heirs. It is important to
consider how charitable gifts might impact your overall estate plan.
Planned Giving participants are enrolled in the Veritas Society of Marian Catholic
High School. Of course, there is an option of remaining anonymous.
