Oconee Food for Kids
Oconee Food for Kids was created to help bridge the food gap for Oconee
students in need of assistance. A bag of kid-friendly, but nutritious, food is
handed out every week to students participating in the program. The
amount of food sent home is sufficient to last the student through a
weekend.
NO CHILD SHOULD HAVE TO WONDER WHERE
THEIR NEXT MEAL WILL COME FROM
Oconee Food for Kids is a joint initiative between Oconee County Schools and Oconee
Area Resource Council, which is a local 501(c )(3) non-profit agency. All donations go
directly to benefit Oconee County residents.

Every week we send home a bag filled with nutritious,
kid-friendly food including fresh fruit. You can help
us bridge the food gap by donating to Oconee Food for
Kids or by providing some of the items we have on the
menu.
Items we buy include UHT milk, pop top canned pasta with meat,
single serve cereal boxes, peanut butter cups, pudding cups, fruit
cups, Lance crackers, fruit & grain bars, Kraft Easy Mac, pop
corn, apple sauce, pop top soups, and fresh fruit.
