After the awards, the Kev<strong>in</strong> Barry Pipes and Drums closed<br />
out the official program and The Marsels aga<strong>in</strong> took to the<br />
stage to play <strong>for</strong> the rest of the even<strong>in</strong>g. Guests had the<br />
chance to purchase raffle tickets <strong>for</strong> a 2010 Harley Davidson<br />
motorcycle or a Boston-to-Bermuda cruise. A silent auction<br />
<strong>in</strong>cluded 70 unique auction packages, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g VIP experiences<br />
at Fenway and the Boston Garden, sports memorabilia,<br />
beauty and travel packages, enterta<strong>in</strong>ment, and a custommade<br />
<strong>Teamsters</strong> Autism keepsake truck and limited-edition<br />
bats engraved with “<strong>Teamsters</strong> <strong>Local</strong> <strong>25</strong> and Autism Speaks”<br />
logos. The perennial favorite “Sp<strong>in</strong>” was back <strong>for</strong> the third<br />
year and <strong>in</strong>cluded more than 100 d<strong>in</strong>ner gift certificates, Red<br />
Sox and Celtics tickets, a GPS, beer-<strong>for</strong>-a-year certificate and<br />
other fun items <strong>for</strong> family and friends.<br />

At the April 18 membership meet<strong>in</strong>g, President O’Brien presented<br />
donations to Melmark New England <strong>for</strong> $20,000 and<br />
Autism Speaks <strong>for</strong> $150,000.<br />
