In this issue, jo<strong>in</strong> Inge Niels<strong>on</strong> as she offers a recreati<strong>on</strong>al activity where you can leave your stress beh<strong>in</strong>d and ‘let your thoughts unw<strong>in</strong>d <strong>in</strong> the creative process.’ Amy Liu expla<strong>in</strong>s Zuo Yuezi, a m<strong>on</strong>th-l<strong>on</strong>g Ch<strong>in</strong>ese traditi<strong>on</strong> of pamper<strong>in</strong>g and car<strong>in</strong>g for a new mother post delivery. Joan Stanley-Baker, <strong>in</strong> the sec<strong>on</strong>d and f<strong>in</strong>al part of her article <strong>on</strong> Ch<strong>in</strong>ese Ink Pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g, helps us rediscover <strong>in</strong>k wash pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g through the works of c<strong>on</strong>temporary artists, by dr<strong>in</strong>k<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> their art ‘with our m<strong>in</strong>d closed’. In the community, TAS hosts its first middle school MUN C<strong>on</strong>ference and TES celebrates Europe Day, the theme for this year be<strong>in</strong>g European Year aga<strong>in</strong>st Poverty and Social Exclusi<strong>on</strong>. Glen Clifford, a specialist <strong>in</strong> event and media voice work, provides an <strong>in</strong>-depth report <strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong>l<strong>in</strong>e resources for language learn<strong>in</strong>g. Sadly, this is also the <strong>time</strong> of the year when many of our friends move away to beg<strong>in</strong> new journeys. Jay Wils<strong>on</strong> and Janice Englehart, both counselors at The <strong>Center</strong>, say goodbye to our <strong>Taipei</strong> community. Le<strong>on</strong> Maggio and Kather<strong>in</strong>e Young, both regular c<strong>on</strong>tributors to <strong>Center</strong>ed <strong>on</strong> <strong>Taipei</strong>, will also be leav<strong>in</strong>g us. Heartfelt thanks to all of you for your support and your generous c<strong>on</strong>tributi<strong>on</strong>s. By committ<strong>in</strong>g to post c<strong>on</strong>sumer paper stock we support the market for recycled fibers and reduce envir<strong>on</strong>mental impact. Recycl<strong>in</strong>g paper uses 60% less energy than manufactur<strong>in</strong>g paper from virg<strong>in</strong> fiber.
