(E). There shall be one (1) set of seat belts, with automotive-style retractors.<br />

(F). There shall be storage area beneath the seat, this shall be painted to match the interior of the patient<br />

Shelving and other miscellaneous items<br />

Where specified in the drawings with this specification there shall be adjustable shelves in the cabinets. These<br />

shelves shall be bolted to heavy-duty infinitely adjustable strut type shelf track. The shelves shall be of .125-<br />

inch aluminum coated on all surfaces and edges with the same color coordinated, painted finish as the interior<br />

of the cabinet. The shelf of the cabinet will be lined with a heavy-duty rubber material. This material will be<br />

removable for cleaning. Cabinet latches, where specified, shall be Southco black plastic flush mounting slam<br />

type latches. At least one compartment shall have a locking latch. The Purchaser shall choose the color<br />

scheme from samples supplied by the successful Bidder. Honeycomb, fiberglass, plywood, plastic, thinner<br />

aluminum, or particleboard cabinet construction shall be unacceptable. Cabinet or interior walls may not be<br />

finished using Formica type laminate material. These cabinets shall be firmly anchored (bolted) to the tapping<br />

plates found in the ambulance structure with #10 x 24 screws that are pre-dipped with Locktite and fitted with<br />

a metal/rubber washers which are vulcanized together to suppress vibration.<br />

The lower 13” of the street side wall cabinets from the CPR seat down shall be protected with a single, non<br />

spliced heavy-duty stainless steel kick panel running from the front wall to the rear of the cabinet wall.<br />

Screws, bolts, or rivets shall not be used to attach the stainless steel, in order to maintain an attractive and<br />

easy to clean surface. The kick panel will include a ¼” return at the base rounding the lower edge of the kick<br />

plate in a return to the recess toe kick.<br />

The lower 13” of the face of the squad bench on the aisle side shall be protected with a heavy-duty single non<br />

spliced stainless steel kick plate, while the front end shall be covered in its entirety with the same material.<br />

The stainless steel shall be attached as noted for the street side panel.<br />
