BOOST VALVE® IS FOX’S PATENTED POSITION SENSITIVE DAMPING TECHNOLOGY,
WHICH COMES IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT APPLICATION SPECIFIC CONFIGURATIONS:
• BOOST VALVE DAMPING CAN BE UTILIZED IN THE BEGINNING OF THE STROKE TO ACHIEVE PROPEDAL
peDALING EFFICIENCY.
• BOOST VALVE DAMPING CAN BE UTILIZED AT THE END OF THE STROKE TO PROVIDE A BOTTOMLESS FEEL AND
cONFIDENCE INSPIRING ENDING STROKE CONTROL.
• BOOST VALVE DAMPING CAN BE UTILIZED THROUGHOUT THE STROKE OF THE SHOCK, PREVENTING SUSPENSION
OVERSHOOT AND UNWANTED RIDER-TERRAIN INDUCED MOTION.
After years of developing and racing Boost Valve equipped shocks we’ve garnered an understanding of where
and how to apply this versatile and high performance tool. The result, a new from the ground up DH shock, the
FOX DHX RC4. The FOX DHX RC4 utilizes Boost Valve position sensitive damping for the last 1/3rd of the shock
stroke where the confidence to launch big, or the control when a landing transition is not perfectly hit, can be the
difference between winning and merely staying upright.
The integration of Boost Valve technology into our FLOAT RP shock family
is an entirely new application for this precise race oriented tool, mating our
World Cup proven Downhill technology with our lightweight FLOAT chassis
for increased rider control, traction and bottom-out resistance.
These FLOAT shocks maintain ProPedal pedaling efficiency and the intuitive
adjustment scheme you’ve come to know and love in the RP23, and
then make bumps disappear and jump landings seem tame. Making this
the only shock on the market combining this level of light-weight pedaling
efficiency with gravity inspired bump eating performance and control.
