<strong>Disposal</strong> <strong>of</strong> tyres and <strong>in</strong>dustrial rubber waste such as used conveyor belts, buffers and<br />
escalator belts is allowed, but not <strong>of</strong> chlor<strong>in</strong>ated rubber or other chlor<strong>in</strong>ated polymer<br />
compounds or sports ground cover<strong>in</strong>gs conta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g Hg. The throughput depends, among other<br />
th<strong>in</strong>gs, on compliance with cl<strong>in</strong>ker quality (Table 2 <strong>of</strong> the Guidel<strong>in</strong>es). Among other th<strong>in</strong>gs,<br />
car tyres conta<strong>in</strong> z<strong>in</strong>c compounds. The guidance value for z<strong>in</strong>c <strong>in</strong> cl<strong>in</strong>ker limits the quantity<br />
that may be used.<br />
